Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Jood (“we”, “the site”) does with information when you use our tools. We wrote it in plain language instead of complex legal wording, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

In short

Most of our tools run entirely in your browser. When you merge, split or compress PDF files, or scan a document with your camera, the processing happens on your device and the file is never sent to our server. We never receive it in the first place, so we cannot store it, read it or lose it.

Files you process with our tools

Tools that run in your browser. Merging, splitting, reordering, rotating, compressing, converting to images and to PDF, watermarking, page numbering, signing and the scanner all run locally via JavaScript. Your file never leaves your device.

Tools that require processing on our server. Some operations cannot be done properly inside the browser: password-protecting and unlocking PDFs, true redaction of sensitive data, conversion to PDF/A, optical character recognition (OCR), and converting Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. In these cases, your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our server, processed in a temporary folder dedicated to your request, and then the original and output files are deleted as soon as the request is complete. We keep no copies, we do not look at the content, and we do not use it for any other purpose. Passwords you enter to protect or unlock a file are never stored.

AI tools. The summarize and translate tools send the extracted text to a third-party AI provider for processing, so the text leaves our site. Do not use these tools with confidential information. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the text.

Tools that check a URL you enter. Some additional tools (such as meta tag or DNS record checkers) work by fetching the web address you type. Our server sends this request on your behalf, and we keep no record of what you looked up.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use them to run the site, diagnose faults and detect abuse, and we do not use them to build a profile of you. We also count how many times each tool is used, as an anonymous aggregate number.

Cookies

• Essential: A session cookie so the site works properly, and a security token that protects forms against request forgery attacks.
• Preferences: Your choice of dark or light mode is stored only in your browser.
• Advertising and analytics: If we display ads or use analytics tools, those providers may set their own cookies. See the next section.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking the essential ones may cause parts of the site to stop working.

Advertising and third parties

We may display ads served by third-party ad networks, and these networks may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on your previous visits to this site and to other websites. We do not control what they collect, and their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

If we use Google advertising products, Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in the ad settings of your Google account.

Your rights

Depending on the country where you live, you may have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to its use, or to obtain a copy of it. Because we deliberately collect very little, in most cases we hold nothing about you beyond ordinary server logs. To make a request, email us at super.seo.tools.zak@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page and announce significant changes on the site.
